Wheelchair Accessible Vancouver Tour 4 Hours, Fully Private
Sightseeing should not depend on how far you can walk. This wheelchair accessible Vancouver tour runs four hours in a ramp-equipped vehicle, with every stop chosen for step-free access and level ground.
You stay in your own chair the whole time. No transfers, no lifting, no folding your chair into a trunk. The ramp deploys, you roll on, and your chauffeur secures you properly before moving.
A private four-hour sightseeing route through Vancouver in a wheelchair accessible van or sedan. It covers Canada Place, Stanley Park, Gastown, English Bay and Granville Island. Pickup runs from hotels, YVR airport or the Canada Place cruise terminal, and the chauffeur assists at every stop.
- Powered ramp entry, so you board seated in your own wheelchair
- Four-point securement straps fitted by a trained chauffeur
- Stops selected for paved paths, curb cuts and accessible washrooms
- Extra time built in, because rushing helps nobody
- Space for a travel companion, family or support worker
- Manual wheelchair rentals available if yours is flying separately

Your 4-Hour Accessible Route
Every stop below has been checked for step-free access. Your chauffeur parks in accessible bays where they exist and walks the route with you if you want company.
- Stop 01
Canada Place
Canada Place opened as the Canadian pavilion for Expo 86, and its white sails now define the waterfront. The promenade is wide, flat and fully paved, with harbour views on three sides.
Accessible washrooms sit inside the building. Elevators connect the levels, and the outdoor promenade needs no stairs at any point. It works well as a first or final stop.
- Stop 02
Vancouver Convention Centre and Coal Harbour
The Convention Centre West Building runs along Coal Harbour with a boardwalk wrapping the entire structure. The surface is smooth and level, which makes it one of the easiest waterfront rolls downtown.
Watch seaplanes touch down while the North Shore mountains sit behind them. The building carries a six-acre living roof, seawater heating and cooling, and a fish habitat built into its foundation.
- Stop 03
Olympic Cauldron at Jack Poole Plaza
The 2010 Winter Games cauldron stands about 10 metres tall in Jack Poole Plaza, right beside the Convention Centre. The plaza is flat, open and reachable without a single step.
Mountains behind, harbour in front. It photographs well from seated height, which is not true of every landmark in this city.
- Stop 04
Gastown and the Steam Clock
Gastown is where Vancouver started, named after Captain John “Gassy Jack” Deighton and his 1867 saloon. The Steam Clock at Water and Cambie whistles every fifteen minutes using underground steam.
One honest note. Gastown’s cobblestones are uneven, and powered chairs handle them better than manual ones. Your chauffeur can park on the smoother Water Street sidewalk section so you view the clock without crossing the rough stone.
- Stop 05
Vancouver's Chinatown
The Millennium Gate on Pender Street marks one of North America’s oldest Chinatowns, settled in the 1880s by workers who built the Canadian Pacific Railway. Herbal shops, tea houses and produce stalls line the blocks.
Sidewalks here are paved and mostly level, with curb cuts at the main intersections. The Sam Kee Building, recorded as the world’s narrowest commercial building, sits a short roll from the gate.
- Stop 06
Stanley Park
Stanley Park spreads across 405 hectares beside downtown, and the accessible viewpoints are genuinely good. Your chauffeur drives the park road and parks at the level lookouts rather than the trailheads.
Prospect Point and the Brockton Point Totem Poles both offer paved viewing areas with accessible parking. From here you see Lions Gate Bridge, Burrard Inlet and the mountains across the water. Accessible washrooms are available at Brockton Point.
- Stop 07
English Bay and A-maze-ing Laughter
English Bay, also called First Beach, has a paved seawall path running the length of the sand. The gradient stays gentle, which suits both manual chairs and mobility scooters.
In Morton Park nearby stand fourteen bronze figures caught mid-laugh. Chinese artist Yue Minjun created A-maze-ing Laughter in 2009. The sculptures sit on flat lawn edged by pavement, so you can roll right up beside them.
- Stop 08
Granville Island
Granville Island holds more than forty artist studios, galleries and the Public Market. The market entrances are step-free and the aisles are wide enough for a powered chair, though weekend crowds slow things down.
Designated accessible parking sits close to the market doors. Accessible washrooms are inside. Most guests finish the accessible Vancouver sightseeing tour here with coffee or something from a food stall.
Our Accessible Vehicles
We operate two purpose-built vehicles for this tour. Both use powered ramps rather than lifts, which means quieter, faster boarding at every stop.
| Specification | Accessible Sedan | Accessible Van |
| Access door width | 36 in | 41 in |
| Access door height | 56 in | 69.5 in |
| Interior height | 58.3 in | 72 in |
| Ramp width | 30 in | 34 in |
| Ramp weight capacity | 1,200 lbs | 1,000 lbs |
| Seated passengers | 1 accessible + 3 | 1 accessible + 7 |
Measure your chair before booking, especially if you use a wide powered chair or a scooter with a high back. Send us the width, height and total weight, and we will confirm the fit in writing.
Larger groups can add a second vehicle. Family and friends ride alongside, not separately.
Need a Wheelchair for the Day?
Airlines damage chairs, and some travellers prefer to leave theirs at home. We keep manual wheelchairs available to rent at $20 per day or $100 per week, subject to availability.
Reserve the rental when you book the tour. Supply is limited during cruise season, so early notice matters.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Round trip from Vancouver* | From YVR or Canada Place** |
| Luxury Sedan | up to 2 | $793 | $650 |
| Luxury SUV | up to 5 | $871 | $715 |
| Wheelchair Accessible Sedan | 1 accessible + 3 | $884 | $728 |
| Wheelchair Accessible Van | 1 accessible + 7 | $1,313 | $1,079 |
| Executive Van | 6 to 14 | $1,118 | $923 |

Pickup Points
| Location | What happens |
| Downtown Vancouver hotels | Chauffeur meets you at the accessible entrance, not the stairs |
| YVR airport | Meet-and-greet at the terminal, ramp van waiting curbside |
| Canada Place cruise terminal | Timed to your ship’s accessible disembarkation window |
| Richmond, Burnaby, North Vancouver | Short transfer time applies |
| Private residences and care homes | Any address in the City of Vancouver |
Cruise passengers should tell us the sailing name. Ships release mobility guests on their own schedule, and we plan the accessible cruise excursion around that, not around a guess.

Why Guests Trust United CLS
Trained chauffeurs, not just drivers
Our accessible-vehicle chauffeurs are trained on ramp operation, four-point securement and safe assistance. They ask before helping, and they follow your lead.
Licensed and insured in British Columbia
We operate under provincial passenger transportation regulations and carry commercial insurance on every vehicle. Licence details are available on request.
Honest access information
If a stop has a rough surface or a long push, we say so on this page. Vancouver is well-served for wheelchair accessible transportation, but not every landmark is equally easy.
One operator, many cities
United CLS runs chauffeured fleets in Dallas, Austin, Houston, Los Angeles and New York, and now serves Vancouver with the same booking desk and standards.
Flat all-in pricing
Your quote covers tax, gratuity, parking and surcharges. The number you approve is the number you pay.
Planning Notes Worth Knowing
Vancouver follows British Columbia’s accessibility rules rather than the American ADA, so signage and standards look slightly different from the United States. Most downtown attractions still meet or beat what visitors expect.
Weather changes day to day. Rain makes cobblestone and seawall sections slower, so we build extra time into wet-season bookings between November and March.
Bring a phone charger and any medication you need for four hours. Our vehicles have USB charging and climate control in the rear cabin.

4-hour wheelchair accessible Vancouver tour - FAQs
Do I stay in my own wheelchair during the tour?
Yes. You board seated using the powered ramp, and your chauffeur secures the chair with four-point straps. No transfer to a seat is needed at any point.
What size wheelchair fits in your vehicles?
The accessible van takes a door width of 41 inches and an interior height of 72 inches. The sedan takes 36 inches by 56 inches. Send your measurements and we confirm the fit.
Can a mobility scooter travel on this tour?
Yes, if the scooter fits the ramp width and weight limit. Give us the model name when you book, since larger four-wheel scooters need the van.
How many people can join me?
The accessible van seats seven companions plus one wheelchair user. The accessible sedan seats three companions. Larger groups can add a second vehicle.
Is the whole route step-free?
Every scheduled stop has step-free access. Gastown’s cobblestones are uneven, so we park on the smoother sidewalk section and you view the Steam Clock from there.
Are there accessible washrooms along the way?
Yes. Canada Place, Granville Island Public Market and Brockton Point in Stanley Park all have accessible washrooms. Your chauffeur plans breaks around them.
Can you pick us up from a cruise ship?
Yes. Mobility guests often disembark on a separate schedule at Canada Place, so we track your ship and hold the vehicle until you are cleared.
Do you rent wheelchairs?
Yes. Manual wheelchairs rent at $20 per day or $100 per week, subject to availability. Reserve yours when you book the tour.
Is a companion or care worker required?
No. Many guests ride alone with the chauffeur. Tell us in advance if you need help boarding, and we allow extra time.
What is included in the price?
Vehicle, chauffeur, ramp assistance, fuel, parking, tolls, tax and gratuity. Attraction tickets and meals are not included.
How far ahead should I book?
Two weeks is usually enough. Between May and September, book three to four weeks ahead, as accessible vehicles book out first.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 48 hours before pickup for a full refund. Inside 48 hours, a partial charge applies. Flight and sailing delays are handled case by case.
